The Environment and Infrastructure Policy Review Committee is reviewing the Island’s approach to waste management. Since 1990 there have been several waste management plans, documents, strategies, and commitments for the Island. These vary in policy and vision, but have all committed to ceasing landfill operations at the earliest opportunity. The Committee wishes to understand the appropriateness of current arrangements, assessing whether waste management is high enough up the waste hierarchy
